For you · your 20s and early 30s
Your 20s: the decade you learn to adult.
When you’re in your 20s, you’re doing a lot of things for the first time. You just want someone to give you constructive feedback that keeps you moving towards your goals while you figure it out.
What we work on
Stress, overwhelm and anxiety
That panic before a deadline may not be about today. Your body might be saying, “I’ve felt this before.” You get to decide whether it comes with you.
Job search and career direction
Confidence is a feeling you can choose to have even when you don’t have all the answers. It only takes one want match.
Friendships and feeling left out
We often reject ourselves before anyone else gets the chance, or scroll everyone’s posts and decide our lives don’t measure up. We’ll notice when you do that, and try something braver.
Not knowing what you want
You don’t have to know yet. Clarity can be the goal. A feeling can be the goal.
Grad, PA and nursing school applications
Big goal, small steps you’ll actually do, and a lot less 2 a.m. panic.
Breakups and relationships
Who are you now, when you’re not someone’s boyfriend or girlfriend anymore? Good question. Let’s answer it.
Procrastination and time
You don’t need time management. You need a stronger why.
A first job or a new city
Good people and fun experiences are wherever you land. You just have to go find them.
Family and parents
You’re an adult now. Your relationship with your parents gets to grow up too.
Guys, this means you too
“How many of you feel lost?”
Young women tend to reach out for help. Young men usually don’t. So I went where you already are: fraternity chapters at Colorado School of Mines, CU Boulder and the University of Minnesota.
When I ask a room that question, hands go up. Then I tell them it’s normal, and you can see the relief.
What a session is like
Once a week, we pause.
We look at your life, decide who you want to be, and work out how to be that person now, not when things get easier.
You don’t have to make dramatic changes. We start right where you are.
After 66 hours of yoga I finally touched my toes, by bending my knees a little. That bend made all the difference.
Where could you use a little bend in your thinking?
Imperfect action is still action.
