The Clarity Call
We walk through every part of your life: where you are, where you want to go, and the skills that would get you there. Saying your vision out loud to someone who can help you see the steps is worth a lot.
You leave with your next steps, whether we work together or not.
Coaching
Six months, one-on-one
A one-hour Zoom session every week
Text me between sessions when you use a tool, get stuck or want to celebrate
Tools you keep, so you can coach yourself for life
Why six months? Because it takes a minute. When I tried short-term coaching, clients didn’t have time to learn the whole process.
How I coach
Coaching isn’t therapy. We start right where you are.
We don’t dig through your past. We look at what you’re thinking now and where you want to go. Here’s the whole idea:
1
The facts
of your life
2
Your thoughts
about those facts
3
Your feelings
come from those thoughts
4
Your actions
come from those feelings
5
Your results
come from those actions
Based on the Model I learned at The Life Coach School, where I was certified in 2017.
Questions people ask
Is coaching therapy?
No. We don’t dig through your past. We look at what you’re thinking now and where you want to go. Some of my clients also see a therapist, and the two work well together.
What if I don’t know what I want?
That’s fine. Clarity can be the goal. A feeling can be the goal. Setting a goal, even if it’s tiny, helps clear a path forward so that you can begin to build and measure your momentum.
Do I have to make big changes?
No. We start right where you are. Small steps you’ll actually take beat a big plan you won’t.
Do I need to live in DC?
No. Every session is on Zoom, and my clients are all over the country.
Can my parents pay for it?
Yes, a lot of parents do. What we talk about still stays between us.
Will my parents hear what I say?
No. The only exception is if I’m ever sincerely worried about your safety.
Can I text you?
Yes. That’s part of it.
Do you work with groups?
Yes: chapters, teams, interns and new-hire classes. See Workshops.
Knowing isn’t doing. Let’s do it.
There’s a big difference between knowing what to do and actually doing it. That’s what we work on together.
